Spring Mill Café has been serving French country fare since 1978. We're a BYO that serves lunch, dinner and Sunday brunch. The historic property features the original Spring Mill general store, and the picturesque converted farmhouse. When the weather is nice, guests are invited to dine outdoors adjacent the gardens, either on the patio or on one of the porches.
A complete selection of appetizers, soups, salads, entrées, cheeses and desserts have been enchanting customers for decades. Michele Haines established the cafe wanting to share the dishes her mother, grandmother, and great grandmother passed down. Specialties include hearty patés, traditional boeuf bourguignon, rabbit stew, cassoulet and fresh farm vegetables. Desserts include classics like chocolate mousse and tarte tatin. The best ingredients make for the best food and we try to buy as much local and sustainable ingredients as possible.Job description The Spring Mill Cafe has been the spring board for countless greats in the culinary world. And now we are looking for someone else to become part of our family. This is a job with lots of flexibility and room for creativity. Some knowledge of French culture and food is required, and knowledge of private events. We are a small place with very little bureaucracy. We need someone to help with management duties and be in charge of private events. The management duties include helping with the menus, hiring, hosting, and day to day tasks. The private events is something we are looking for a fresh outlook on. We want to keep things French country inspired but would love someone to help it grow.
