Overall Responsibilities:

• Lead cafe staff (8-12 team members) and full operations

• Model and deliver outstanding customer experience and high quality in all products

• Strive to exceed cafe’s financial goals

Specific Duties:

• Develop a motivated team committed to delivering high quality drinks/food and exceptional service levels

• Promote strong teamwork and work culture through positive, transparent communication

• Build strong relationships with the local community

• Regularly monitor drink and food quality

• Oversee product procurement and inventory, handle payroll

• Recruit, interview and hire staff

• Coach, train, and provide performance reviews for team members

• Proactively use social media to promote the business

• Constantly look for ways to improve efficiency, control costs and manage bottom line without compromising service/quality levels

• Maintain cafe equipment, including maintenance

• Ensure front and back of house are organized and clean at all times

Qualifications:

• Passion for what you do - must love coffee, food and people!

• 2+ years food and beverage operations experience

• Previous P&L and management experience

• Strong people manager skills

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Well versed in coffee

• Passion for the environment using organic, eco friendly products

• Highly organized, strong time management skills, multi tasker

• Genuine, approachable, role model for the team

• Creative problem solver, resourceful and scrappy

• Food Handlers Certificate

• Available to work on weekends as needed
