Our Story: Deborah Miller Catering Company is a company with a story and a heart. Deborah Miller grew up with sights and smells of food all around her. From her family dinners to her father’s greasy spoon restaurant, food is her passion. 25 Years ago, Deborah opened up a small storefront on Varick Street. Today, the Café is a neighborhood landmark known for its homemade dishes and is serviced by a 5000 square foot headquarters in lower Manhattan, home to our commissary kitchen and sales office.

The Ideal candidate:
Our chef will need to be organized and creative and have experience in catering with high volume. You will need to be hard worker with a strong work ethic who has a long tenured past at previous places of employment. You will have experience in management, costing and menu development. You will develop an incorruptible recipe database focusing on flavor, cost and procedure. You will have experience in handling day to day labor costs and motivate our existing team of dedicated staff to work hard and feel valued. You will maximize our operational efficiency with new, innovative ideas that you create. You will develop systems to decrease food cost and systems to capture bidding, record invoicing and control receiving. You will be on a career path and be an organized leader with a mission and strong values. You will take Deborah Miller Catering to the next level in terms of volume, quality and city wide perception.
