*This position is for our wholesale manufacturing facility in Mt. Vernon, NY*

Must be HONEST  TRUSTWORTHY  PROFESSIONAL

Minimum Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper with HR background
  • Food industry experience preferred
  • Computer fluency; particularly with Quick Books, Excel, Word, Outlook
  • Experience with ADP Payroll Services a plus
  • Strength in A/R & A/P management & collections
  • Team work, good written and verbal communication skills and a sense of humor are essential!

Specific Responsibilities:

Accounting & Finance

  • All aspects of accounts payables and receivables
  • Process bank deposits
  • Reconcile bank statements and credit card statements
  • Maintain petty cash on a weekly basis
  • Generate monthly, quarterly and annual reports as needed
  • Maintain company spreadsheets for cash flow
  • Facilitate credit checks on new customer account applications
  • Reconcile broker commissions
  • Manage Certificates of Insurance
  • Prepare any grant and/or loan applications
  • Populate and maintain company forecasting and budgeting with aid of CFO
  • Assist accountant with monthly close, reconciliations, income statements and balance sheets per accountant’s requirements

Payroll & HR Responsibilities:

  • Payroll processing
  • Maintain all employee information in payroll system as well as hard copy files
  • Maintain company’s Employee Handbook with assistance from management
  • Participate in new hire interview process as requested
  • Manage employee unemployment claims
  • Manage company 401k account with assistance from ADP
  • Manage employee health benefits with outside vendors (new applications, terminations, changes)
  • Assist management in drafting employee reviews, disciplinary actions and termination processing as needed
  • Manage independent contractor paperwork (i.e. W-9’s, etc.)
  • Stay current with regulations from the Department of Labor with guidance from ADP
