Oz Farm is seeking a full time, residential Maintenance person. This position is for someone who enjoys living communally on the land.

Job Summary

The Maintenance person is responsible for general upkeep, maintenance of Oz's solar systems, and preventative work on Oz infrastructure and machinery.
 

Experience, Qualifications, and Skills

1. 3-5 years’ experience in maintenance engineering or related fields

2. Under general supervision, ability to perform repairs and preventative maintenance on a wide variety of building and facility equipment, fixtures and systems. 

3. Ability to install, trouble-shoot, repair, and maintain a wide variety of plumbing, mechanical, and off-grid electrical systems

4. Conduct preventative maintenance inspections and perform required preventative maintenance actions such as lubrication, cleaning, filter changes etc.

5. Ability to perform carpentry work

6. Ability to react and respond calmly and graciously in stressful and demanding situations

7. Strong communication skills, with an emphasis on listening, empathy and common sense

8. Ability to be self-motivated and self-managing and to work both independently and collaboratively

9. Excellent record-keeping skills and computer literacy where necessary
