FOH Manager

We are looking for an experienced Front of House Manager to lead our customer facing team.  

Responsible for maintaining quality, health and safety standards, the FOH Manager should possess an entrepreneurial spirit while focusing on guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation.

The Front of House Manager is one of three managers who, as a team, along with the owner, Eva, lead and manage Eva’s Little Kitchen.  The objective of the FOH Manager is to uphold ELK’s missions while managing the daily operations and coordinating a variety of activities, to drive the business performance of the shop.  Success in this role includes incredible attention to the production and consistency, while developing team members by providing coaching and leadership.

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in culinary management with a passion for food and coffee. They must adhere to health and safety standards to provide clients with the best possible service.

Job responsibilities:

  • Reports and works in conjunction with owner to develop service standards and general operations 
  • Full cycle project management: ability to plan, organize, direct and delegate, and follow through, holding team(s) accountable
  • Maintain a clean and organized Front of House including work stations, bathrooms, and, display counter 
  • Be vigilant with product quality; taste three things daily; take note of anything that is not normal looking, constantly be looking at what’s on display 
  • Be a vocal part of the management team to improve the shop
  • Train staff on procedures
  • Order and purchase equipment and supplies.
  • Review work procedures and operational problems to determine ways to improve service, performance, or safety.
  • Arrange for equipment maintenance and repairs, and coordinate a variety of services, such as waste removal and pest control.
  • Schedule and receive food & beverage deliveries, checking delivery contents to verify product quality and quantity.
  • General HR duties 
  • Monitor budgets, payroll records and review financial transactions to ensure that expenditures are authorized and budgeted.
  • Maintain food & equipment inventories and keep inventory records.
  • Schedule staff hours and assign duties.
  • Establish standards for personnel performance and customer service.

  • Strong computer skills. Knowledge of Square preferred.
