Company description We are a small-scale, family-owned and operated farm, organically growing vegetables, herbs, and flowers. We are very enthusiastic about growing nutrient-dense produce in a manner that involves the community. We were trained in permaculture practices and are enthusiastic about improving the health of the soil and ecosystem as a whole. Job description We are looking for part-time help in the field, likely two days each week, with 3 main categories of farm tasks, full training will be provided:

1. Cultivating - this involves pulling weeds, operating various hoes and hand tools, and contributing to soil remediation and bed maintenance.

2. Harvesting - we will work together to harvest produce from the field and make sure it is cleaned and put away in the coolers in an organized fashion.

3. General farm upkeep - daily cleaning and organizing tasks will be completed by the farm team, including washing harvest and storage bins and containers, mopping the barn floor, organizing/inventory of various aspects of the farm, and other tidying tasks.

This will be a great opportunity for someone who wants to make money while gaining experience on a farm and learning the (literal) tools of the trade! In addition to hourly pay, we are very happy to send our teammates home with fresh veggies at the end of the day.

NO experience is required, though it is certainly always appreciated. Over the Summer, we spend most of our time outside, so hats, long sleeves, and water bottles will be your best friend. We will take breaks in the barn to get a break from the heat throughout the day. This work will help you to develop an intimate connection with the soil and plants, and it will be priceless experience to gain.
