Marketing Associate Mavuno Harvest

  • Date Posted August 13, 2021
  • Location Philadelphia, PA
  • Category Business / Design
  • Job type Full-Time
Company description

Mavuno Harvest was founded to provide family farmers in Africa with a fair, stable market for their agricultural products. Started by a Peace Corps volunteer, our company sources and sells premium organic dried fruits and nuts grown and processed directly by African farmers, the proceeds of which sustain their local communities. Growing steadily each year, Mavuno Harvest has a strong national presence in major conventional and natural grocers as well as online. Our new warehouse in Philadelphia will soon be outfitted with a state-of-the-art automated production line, and we are poised to deepen our relationship with farmers in Africa through a series of mission-driven initiatives, including the creation of a network of local agricultural and community centers.

Job description

Based in Philadelphia, the marketing associate will cover several areas of marketing such as media relations, events, digital/social marketing, trade marketing, education and training and marketing administration.  The ideal candidate will be a self-starter looking to build a career with a socially responsible and impactful company.  You will report directly to the Founder and interact with all company’s functions – Operations, Sales and Marketing.

We’re looking for a multi-talented and highly creative marketer, with a passion for our social goals, who’s eager to roll up their sleeves and be a part of building something truly special. As a member of our small and scrappy team, you’ll have a meaningful impact on all aspects of marketing at a fast-growing company including: content creation and management, partnerships, customer experience, and design.
