DISHWASHER JOB DESCRIPTION

Our Dishwashers have an important role in the smooth running of our restaurant, contributing to a well-run kitchen. These individuals follow high standards of cleanliness, attention to detail, and sanitation. 

Job Responsibilities

• Keeping kitchen stocked with clean pots and pans
• Polishing silverware and glassware as necessary
• Keeping FOH stocked with clean china, silver, and glass
• Washing and storing all dishes, glasses, tableware, and kitchen equipment
• Removal of all kitchen and bar trash to dumpsters
• Removal of all event space garbage from rolling bins to dumpsters
• Maintaining clean dish area and equipment
• Maintaining clean and dry kitchen floors
• Maintaining clean dumpster pad, waste oil areas
• Maintaining clean and garbage free loading area
• Removal of all waste oil to waste oil bin
• Completion of all assigned daily and weekly cleaning duties
• Completing, upon request, preparatory kitchen tasks, garbage removal for offices, or other tasks as delegated from supervisors
• If applicable, day cleaning duties / assisting with FOH cleaning and BOH deep cleaning
• Checking out with manager at end of evening shift

 

Skills and Abilities

• Able to bend, twist, stoop, kneel, push and pull for several hours per day
• Able to read and comprehend usage instructions for cleaning products and follow these accurately
• Ability to understand health department regulations
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds
