Miette is hiring for a decorator and baker position at our new location in Montclair village!

We are looking for bakers with experience to decorate our cakes, cupcakes, and pastries. This role has flexible hours with the exception of a Saturday morning shift.

Production includes:

• Preparing buttercream, ganache, meringue, fondant
• Piping cupcakes; decorating cakes and pastries; inscriptions
• Mixing ingredients for cookies and macarons.

To be successful in this role, you should have work experience with large-scale food production and be able to lift and operate heavy equipment.

Requirements:

• Experience in a professional kitchen
• Familiarity with professional kitchen equipment, including mixers, blenders and dough sheeters
• Understanding of food safety practices
• Ability to lift 50 lbs
