Baker Knead Love Bakery

  • Date Posted October 24, 2021
  • Location New York, NY
  • Category Culinary
  • Job type Full-Time
Company description Knead Love Bakery is a small gluten-free bakery that focuses on gluten-free sourdough breads, bagels, and mostly vegan treats. Our aim is to bake nutrient dense baked goods, using hand-milled and regionally sourced ingredients such as organic upstate maple, Brooklyn based chocolatiers, and sourcing within the region as much as possible.

Because of our commitment to using regional grains and ingredients, we are members of the GrowNYC Greenmarket, and sell at Union Square, Fort Greene, and McCarren Park markets each week.

We hand-mill flours for our sourdough starter and breads. This adds not only a depth of flavor and texture, but is part of our greater purpose in supporting the regional grain economy.

We approach baking with a different perspective- trying to formulate new ways to bake delicious vegan and gluten-free treats so that they stand on their own. We like a little whimsy with approaching new takes on traditional baked goods.

Knead Love Bakery began with bread- because it is the symbolic food that crosses all languages, places, and time. We hope to grow and keep this idea in mind- that all we need is nourishment and love.
