This is a full-time position that is currently remote optional, but will eventually be in person with some remote flexibility in our Brooklyn Dumbo office.
We are looking for a hands-on Operations Manager to help build and manage an exceptional operations foundation with a focus on Customer Success. You will execute Field’s day-to-day operations while working cross-functionally across Product, Marketing, and Sales to scale our fulfillment and customer experience processes, drive operational excellence, and support new business initiatives. Your vision, strategy, and process improvement skills will ensure we can provide an amazing customer experience to all of our customers.
Role:
Logistics
- Manage critical operational activities ranging from supply chain & logistics, inventory management, production, fulfillment, freight, shipping, and liaise with third party suppliers and shipping partners
- Own all outbound shipping workflows, including dropship
- Liaise with warehouse management team
- Help build our distribution network and compliance acumen to accommodate omnichannel growth across B2C, B2B, marketplace, and more
Customer Success
- Proactively and empathetically provide frontline support customer inquiries while looking for opportunities to make these processes scalable and more efficient
- Process returns, replacements and exchanges and troubleshoot problems with our 3PL vendor and carriers
- Develop a deep understanding of our brand, products, processes, and policies
- Recognize patterns and share customer feedback with our team to support continuous improvement of our product experience through development of KPIs
Strategy
- Actively participate in the strategic planning, target setting, and annual planning processes, and perform risk and opportunities analyses to support resource allocations
- Pursue continuous improvement in all areas of the business with an emphasis on Customer Experience, Operations, and Supply Chain
Qualifications:
- 3+ years in operations/supply chain/fulfillment with experience in a client or customer facing role
- Experience with Ecom platform logistics and a variety of parcel & freight carriers
- Intermediate Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Index Match, Sum If, etc.)
- Strong critical thinking and analytical capabilities
- High attention to detail and ability to understand and organize complex workflows - with a passion for building strong operational systems
- Self-starter and independent individual who takes ownership of their role
- A “can do” attitude with a focus on customer empathy and service
- A passion for understanding and solving user problems
- Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills
- Hands-on collaborator that works well in teams
- An interest in cooking along with a friendly and relentlessly optimistic attitude!
- International export experience a plus
