Hours: Full-Time
SUMMARY Responsible for cutting and packaging cheese in a refrigerated industrial environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
• Handle each cheese as an individual, understanding that each cheese calls for different care.
• Cut exact-weight pieces to fulfill customer orders.
• Package and label cuts to be attractive and neat.
• Produce cuts with speed and efficiency to meet daily shipping deadlines.
• Store wheels to maximize shelf-life and flavor and monitor proper rotation of cheese inventory.
• Adhere to food safety protocol to prevent contamination.
WORKSKILLS:
• Simple calculation skills how to translate total weight of cheese in individual cuts.
• Manual dexterity to wrap cheese cuts attractively and neatly.
• Work as a team player.
• Detail-oriented.
EXPERIENCE: working in foodservice or food retail is a plus.
QUALIFICATIONS: N/A
EDUCATION: High School
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
• Being able to be on your feet your entire shift.
• Lifting up to 50 pounds.
WORK ENVIRONMENT: While performing the duties of this job, the team member is regularly exposed to a cold and refrigerated environment, 36 degrees Fahrenheit.
