Job Description

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for collaborating with leadership on the overall marketing strategy that includes promotion of our retail bakeshops, e-commerce, and pre-orders and delivery, as well as oversight and development of our external facing brand (website, social, advertising & promotion), development of partnerships, and overall brand language and communication. Day-to-day tasks include managing and coordinating marketing and creative strategy, supervising social media, website oversight, leading market research efforts to uncover the viability of current and existing products/services, and liaising with creative and media agencies.

The ideal candidate has 3-5 years marketing experience either in the food industry or media. Work in food media? Do apply. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about food, baking and cooking, is ahead of the social media curve, is obsessed with pop culture and hospitality, and has a generous disposition. Ovenly culture is dynamic and fast-paced. Being a collaborative, flexible worker is a must. Major consideration will be given to candidates accustomed to wearing many hats. 


Duties include but are not limited to:

  • Maintains
  • Manages a marketing coordinator 
  • Forges & maintain partnerships and opportunities
  • Ensures goals and objectives for company-wide marketing initiatives are fulfilled
  • Synthesizes information about marketing initiatives and pays careful attention to the products and services offered, within targeted demographic and budgetary restrictions.
  • Ensures clear and consistent brand language is used across all channels at all times
  • Conceptualizes innovative action plans drawing on strategic research to identify the best way to grow our brand
  • Supports the implementation of marketing strategies 
  • Oversees and optimizes technology to promote successful marketing campaigns 
  • Develops calendars and action points around initiatives including, but not limited to, store openings and holidays
  • Manages public relations
  • Measures success through metrics and research
  • Manages social media accounts
  • Manages all email marketing and campaigns through Klaviyo
  • Uses research and metrics to increase consumer engagement
  • Manages interns, as needed
  • Promotes and trains the Ovenly brand bible internally
  • Researches best practices, events, and speaking opportunities
  • Develops social media, marketing, and editorial calendars
  • Manages and staffs marketing events, as needed
  • Establishes consistent systems and standards for measuring the success 


  • 3-5 years experience in marketing, brand strategy, PR, or other related fields
  • Outgoing, creative thinker, that’s passionate about food and building a brand that delivers value to its customers
  • Clear written and verbal communications skills (English)
  • Demonstrates leadership when working in a team setting
  • Detail-oriented 
  • Ability to prioritize needs while managing multiple projects simultaneously
  • Experience with Shopify required
  • Experience with Klaviyo or Mailchimp required 

This position is based in our Greenpoint office.
