Richfield Farm is a family owned produce and flower farm that has been in operation for over forty years in Carroll County, MD. We grow a wide variety of produce, flowers, and herbs for sale at farmers’ markets, to restaurants, and through our CSA program. 

We are seeking help for our Farmers’ Markets in the DC area on Saturday mornings.

Locations/Times:

H Street Market (NE DC)
Saturdays 8am - 1pm

Mt. Pleasant Farmers Market (NW DC)
Saturdays 7:30 am - 1:30 pm

Job Duties:

• Market Set Up: Work with other staff members to unload and set up market tables and tents, stocking tables with products in a neat and visually appealing manner. Additional responsibilities may include marking prices and hanging signs, or other tasks necessary to prepare for the opening of the market.

• Market Operation: Provides sales and service to all customers to support market operations, ensuring that a high quality market site is maintained at all times. Work with customers to complete sales, restocking tables, and maintaining a clean, safe work area in a fast paced environment.

• Market Breakdown: Assist with the breakdown and packing of remaining produce, empty crates, tables, and tents onto the truck at the end of the market.

Necessary Skills:

• Strong customer service skills and ability to operate professionally and enthusiastically in a variety of weather conditions, including heat, cold, and rain.

• Lifting/carrying 30-50 lbs, as well as frequent bending, reaching, and kneeling to restock tables.

• Able to accurately perform simple mental calculations of sales and make change for cash transactions, and/or operate a credit card machine as necessary.

• Good attention to detail and mindfulness of state of the table and maintaining stocked, visually appealing displays throughout the day.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of agriculture, food, or cooking is very beneficial when discussing our products with customers.

Compensation: $15/hr + free produce
