The Portland Seedhouse was founded in 2014 in Portland Oregon, where it maintains a diverse seedbank of culturally significant varieties with remarkable flavors and stories.

We find and breed rare, diverse and resilient seed varieties with the most wonderful flavors for farmers, gardeners and seed savers alike.
 

Our farm is located in Ridgefield, Washington. We farm 2 acres biodynamically and bio-intensively.

We maintain 2 large gardens locally for local Chefs around Portland, we have a farm veggie CSA, and an online seed company.

Job description We strive to have the most interesting and flavorful produce on the table with organic methods, new and old unique varieties and cultivation methods. We strive to maintain a happy upbeat atmosphere and keep a positive work life balance for everyone. 

Responsibilities:
• Assist in all tasks including harvest, planting, weeding, bed preparation, and general maintenance
• Be familiar with different crop varieties and harvest standards
• Assist in general upkeep of garden tools and machinery

We are looking for a few spots to be filled so could be 10-30 hours depending on the candidate. 

Candidates should:
• Be able to lift at least 50lbs.
• Have excellent attention to detail
• Interact and communicate well with farm and kitchen staff
