Tired of the restaurant grind working late nights and every weekend?

Community Co-op Market (CCM) of Tallahassee is hiring a Prepared Foods Manager to supervise our food service staff and to direct the production of high quality food to our customers. CCM is Tallahassee’s only locally owned, natural foods grocery store, and is a member co-op of the National Co-op Grocers.


We are looking for a leader who has a passion for food and delivering outstanding customer service. A proven track record of supervising staff, setting daily priorities, knowledge of alternative food ingredients and developing recipes is required. An understanding of food costing and labor financial relationships is critical. Knowledge of health code and food allergens is paramount to ensure the safety of our guests.

Co-op’s are known for their collaborative and respectful management practices. The right candidate will cultivate a productive and positive work environment.

This position will pay $20 - $28/hour dependent upon experience, and includes excellent benefits.

Skills

  • 2+ years of food service leadership and supervision of staff.
  • Menu development and implementation.
  • Ability to plan, develop and implement efficient and productive systems.
  • Ability to motivate self and staff.
  • Ability to work well with others in a cooperative environment.
  • Excellent communication and listening skills.
  • Commitment to superior customer service.

Knowledge

  • Understanding of financial statements, including inventory, controlling margins and labor budgets.
  • Ability to use and understand Microsoft office suite of products, including Excel and Word.
  • Current food manager safety certification.
  • Knowledge of natural foods and alternative ingredients.
  • Knowledge of current food trends.
