Fairville Friends School seeks a warm and caring Food Manager to join our school community beginning in late August 2022. Fairville Friends School is a Quaker preschool serving approximately 90 children on our beautiful rural campus in Chadds Ford, PA.
Fairville’s Food Program
Our food program nourishes children with a vegetarian diet and a focus on whole, unprocessed organic foods. The food program not only promotes a healthy diet and expands their palate, but also allows students the opportunity to learn and practice table manners, mindfulness at mealtime, and how to conduct appropriate conversation for dining. Classes participate in cooking lessons with the Food Manager throughout the year. Children also participate in growing food in our school garden and take part in all aspects of the farm to table process by harvesting and consuming veggies they started from seed. We hope our new chickens will produce eggs for us by the spring too!
