Allandale Farm is a vegetable farm and plant nursery on the border of Jamaica Plain and Brookline. We operate a seasonal store on the farm from March-December with a vibrant, caring, hardworking team of employees. The Farmstand Floor Supervisor is a retail position with leadership responsibilities related to crew, products, and customer service. All applicants must be able to work at least four days per week, including one weekend day.

Responsibilities:

• Assisting Farmstand management team with staff training, supervision, and direction

• Serving as manager on duty when other managers are not present

• Overseeing and completing end of day closing duties

• Providing enthusiastic customer service and superb register support

• Communicating daily changes, tasks, updates, and expectations to Farmstand crew

• Overseeing the accuracy and quality of product deliveries, ensuring timely pricing and stocking of products

• Supporting daily floor supervision through doing and delegating, including stocking/restocking products, monitoring the daily flow of tasks, and attending to the overall appearance of the store

• Reports to Farmstand Daily Operations Manager
  
  
  Qualifications:

• Retail experience with proven customer service skills

• Previous supervisory experience preferred

• Exemplary leadership, problem solving, communication, and collaborative skills

• Demonstrated interest in local food systems and seasonal produce

• Able to comfortably lift 50 lbs

• Availability to work through the entire season (March December) preferred

• Must be available to work at least four days per week, including one weekend day

  Compensation:

• $18-$20/hour commensurate with experience

• $250 annually in Farm Bucks for Allandale Farm produce

• 25% employee discount in farmstand and garden center
