Job description

TGA is seeking a Shipping and Receiving Specialist to support the operations of The Good Acre. This person will help in the packing and delivering orders to accounts within the Greater Twin Cities.  This is a seasonal position, starting immediately and ending November 1.  Qualified candidates for the job will undergo a driving record and background check.

Schedule: Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday from 8am-2pm. Possibility of more hours if desired/available.

Responsibilities

  • Perform all outgoing deliveries from TGA to its customers
  • Follow all TGA and food safety guidelines and checklists when using TGA equipment during loading and unloading of truck to ensure product safely arrives in good condition
  • Run all routes in a safe and timely manner following all federal and state traffic laws
  • Make sure all pallets and cases are properly labeled and any add-ons are fulfilled
  • Arrive at each site at predetermined time and inform Operations Manager of any delays
  • Report all accidents, damage, or injuries immediately to staff, including Operations Manager 
  • Communicate customer feedback and any quality issues to Program Managers
  • Learn and practice TGA’s Food Safety Plan and protocols
  • Ensure cleanliness of truck both before and after all deliveries
  • Assist in building and preparing all orders and deliveries for the following day
  • Assist in product receiving, handling, and storage when needed

 Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license; excellent driving record
  • Ability to operate all equipment safely (hand carts/pallet jacks)
  • Must be able to consistently lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Ability to move in and out of truck bed in a safe manner
  • High attention to detail, time management, and food safety
  • (Preferred) Prior delivery driving experience

Compensation

This is a part-time hourly position. Pay is $18/hour. Prorated holiday pay is provided for designated TGA holidays.
