Our Catering Manager is outgoing and friendly, detail-oriented and self-motivated, dependable, and, above all else, enthusiastic about food. This is a full time position requires 40-45 hours of work per week, including some evening and weekends for catering events. This position works closely with our Executive Chef and other members of our management team, and may manage 1-5 Catering Servers at a time, depending on event size. Key Responsibilities Include:

  • Management of on-site and off-site catering events from initial order to complete event plan
  • Daily e-mail and phone communication with clients, including providing catering estimates, confirmations, and invoices
  • Management of Catering staff, including but not limited to interviewing, onboarding, training, scheduling, assessing performance, and compliance with food safety regulations
  • Catering menu management and updates with the Executive Chef
  • Management of online catering calendar and communication with all relevant coworkers, including Executive Chef and Catering staff
  • Maintenance of inventory of all catering supplies and requesting purchases as needed
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and hygiene regulations in accordance with company standard and federal/state/local laws and ordinances
  • Working catering events from start to finish, including set up, serving, directing Catering Servers, and breakdown of event spaces
 

Key Qualifications:

  • Weekend and evening availability required
  • 2+ years experience in food service, hospitality, and/or customer service settings
  • 2+ years experience managing others
  • Bartending experience is a plus
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Quickbooks Online preferred
  • Ability to self-manage & juggle multiple projects and events simultaneously
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and leadership skills
  • Ability to work as part of a team and interact effectively with others
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work a variety of event sites
 

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
  • Prolonged periods of standing and moving around on one's feet, bending, reaching, carrying, and speaking
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
