We are looking for a farm hand to help us in maintaining our 95-acre regenerative, diversified farm. The farm hand position will work under supervision of the farm manager and/or crew leader in order to help maintain our 8-acre vineyard, 7-acre orchard,  and ornamental landscaping. The ideal candidate should be flexible and eager to learn, recognizing the scope of this position may include general farm work beyond our vineyard/orchard/ornamental landscaping. This position has the potential to develop into a full-time opportunity for the right candidate. 

What You’ll Do: 

- Maintain and improve the site’s landscapes by mowing, edging, weeding, pruning, and as directed by the Crew Leader in a safe and efficient manner

- Perform seasonal vineyard & orchard tasks, such as weed control, mowing, hedging, leak plucking, pruning, harvesting, etc. as directed by the Crew Leader

- Use powered and hand tools, such as backpack blowers, mowers, string trimmers, shears, shovels, rakes, pruning tools 

- Work outside in all weather conditions

The desire to learn, show up and be on time is required. While no experience is necessary, the ideal candidate will have: 

- 1-2 seasons of experience in groundskeeping, viticulture work or general farm work

- Bilingual (English/Spanish)

- Ability to lift 50 lbs

- Be able to push, pull, bend, stoop, kneel, crawl, twist, climb, and squat

- Eager and quick to learn new tasks and maintain pace

- Enjoy working on a team of professionals, working hard, and following instructions

- Have reliable transportation and show up on time, consistently. We are in a rural location without access to public transportation.
