Company description Arbor Farm Market is a farmer-owned vegetarian grocery and gift shop specializing in Vermont-made products. Job description We are seeking a part-time employee to join our retail farm market team for daytime shifts Wednesdays-Sundays. Opportunities for promotion to a managerial role possible for the right candidate. 

Job Responsibilities: 

• Greeting and assisting customers throughout their store visit
• Completing customer transactions using a Square POS system
• Assisting in receiving deliveries, managing inventory in POS system, and creating compelling product displays
• Maintaining a clean and tidy market space
• Managing consignment program, including communication with vendors and inventory tracking through custom sales program

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be at least 18 years of age and able to lift 40 pounds
• Track record of employment as an enthusiastic self-starter with the ability to work independently in a fast-paced work environment

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in retail, food service, and/or agriculture
• Familiarity with local food systems/products, especially within Vermont

Compensation:

• $15-$20 an hour, based on experience
