Job description
Marlow & Daughters, the whole animal butcher and specialty foods shop in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, is seeking an experienced General Manager to lead the team and business.

Responsibilities include:
- In partnership with the Marlow Collective executive team, develop actionable goals for business growth and sustainability, implementing goal setting, performance management, learning and development, and annual operational planning that ensure alignment with short-term and long-term objectives
- Schedule, organize, and monitor labor and productivity in accordance with business demand to achieve labor budget expectations
- Lead the team to achieve budgeted cost of goods (meat, grocery, produce, etc.)
- Work with the Head Butcher to develop and implement systems and procedures that:
Successful candidates will:
- Have 3-5 years experience successfully managing a kitchen or retail food business
- Have a growth mindset and be open to giving and receiving feedback regularly in order to foster personal and professional development
- Be friendly, focused, energetic, and communicative
- Be excited about the working as part of a team to support the Marlow Collective's mission of promoting a local, equitable, and sustainable food system
While performing the duties of the job, the General Manager is regularly required to stand and walk; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear; climb, balance, stoop, kneel, and crouch. They must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds. The Marlow Collective requires all employees to be fully vaccinated against COVID-19 by the first day of employment.
