We are currently seeking to hire an Assistant Manager. Market managers are valuable members of the CSFM team. As the public face of our market, market managers connect our communities to our farmers. Managers are responsible for executing all on-site aspects of the market during their scheduled shift.
The assistant manager reports to the senior manager and to the CSFM Board. The assistant manager is responsible for weekly administrative functions including market prep, record keeping, rent collection, email communications with vendors and the public, sending a weekly newsletter, and maintaining social media accounts.
Position Details
- Hours: Approximately 30 hours per month; 16 hours onsite at the market per month; 4 hours per week off-site for market prep, administrative work, newsletter, and social media engagement
- Compensation: paid hourly $22/hr, with a monthly minimum pay of $750
- Work Locations: At the market, from home, or other locations as necessary
- Commitment: we are a growing market and rely on our managers to take pride in executing the market each week. Our markets are a year-round commitment, rain or shine. Markets will only be closed in unsafe conditions. This position is typically best suited for candidates who are local to the area

Qualifications
- A friendly and enthusiastic person with excellent communication skills
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
- Effective team player able to take direction and work independently
- Successful community builder with an ability to work with a diverse range of people
- Experience and comfortability with rules and regulation enforcement
- Ability to comfortably and safely lift up to 40 lbs as needed for market setup/break down
- Reliable access to a smartphone, and internet connection
