Stables of Rolling Ridge, located in Gaithersburg, MD., is currently a horse and flower farm that also serves as a wedding and retreat venue.
We are looking to become a self-sustaining farm through the development of year-round food/fruit production program.
The ultimate goal of this venture is to supply/support a full-service Vegan restaurant and health/lifestyle center using organic food production methods.
We are excited to have just completed the construction a 96’ natural geothermal greenhouse for off-season vegetable/fruit production.
Our long-term goal includes developing a education curriculum on the successful techniques that will have been developed.
Job description
We are interested in hiring a full-time experienced gardener to help develop food/fruit and flower production at our farm.
This is a new position that will require the successful candidate to first develop and then assist in sustaining this project.The candidate will be someone who is independent/a self-starter and is passionate about both indoor (greenhouse) and outdoor food/fruit production.
Prior experience in edibles (veggie/fruit) and flower growing to include green housing, as well as knowledge in drip irrigation techniques and natural pest management, is required.
