Deck Family Farm is a Willamette Valley local small family farm. We raise Organic grass fed and pasture raised beef, pork, lamb, and chicken. We sell our products to select commercial accounts and at local farmers markets in both the Eugene and greater Portland area.

We are currently seeking a market booth representative to sell our products in the Portland area.   The shift hours vary slightly depending upon the specific market.

Markets that Deck Family Farms participates in:  PSU, Hollywood, St Johns, King, Montavilla, Hillsdale, and Woodstock.
 

Job Requirements;

• You must be available to work on Saturdays and/or Sundays from 7:00AM to 3:00PM
• Have a genuine interest in organic and pasture based farming and a willingness to engage the customer in discussion.
• Have retail and/or customer service experience.
• Strong organizational skills, communication, and follow through.
• Able to work outside in any weather conditions.  Ability to stand for up to 8-hr shift.
• Ability to lift 30-40lbs occasionally.  Loading, unloading, and set-up of the booth is physically demanding.

Responsibilities;

• Assist in loading and unloading of the market infrastructure;  tents, tables, freezers, coolers, etc…
• Set up and run the market from unload to loading.
• Basic bookkeeping of market sales.  Operate iPad using Square/account for cash/card sales transactions.
• Restock product in sales freezers from back-up coolers.
• Distribute CSA products to customers picking up from the market.
