Company description Juniper Flowers/Farm is a cut flower farm and florist business in the Roaring Fork Valley, CO. I use organic practices to grow cut flowers which are then transported to my floral design studio in Carbondale, CO. We service weddings, events, pop up markets, and wholesale markets. Job description Juniper Flowers is seeking a part-time employee for summer 2024!

Juniper Flowers is a farmer-florist operations with a focus on both flower farming and floral design. Our main focus of the 2024 season will be growing cut flowers and using these in floral designs for weddings. An employee will be involved both in farming: field work, harvesting, planting, weeding, and occasional chores, and floral design: prepping vases, making arrangements, transporting flowers, and on-site instillations.
 

The ideal candidate has a desire to learn both about floral design and sustainable flower farming. Ideally, you would have some work experience either as a farmer or florist.

 

Non-negotiables:

-       Can wear a lot of hats and be adaptable

-       Enjoys both hard physical work (farming) and creative work (floral design)

-       Enjoys working with a small team as well as, independently

-       A strong communicator

-       Organized, timely, efficient

-       Clean drivers license and ability to drive and deliver flowers

-       Weekend availability (If hired I will provide full summer calendar of events)

-       Flexible and open to new tasks


The position will ideally be 3 days/week from early June to mid- October. There is potential for work 1-2 days a week starting mid-April to mid-June.  The pay range will be $25 / hour (DOE) with the potential for an end of season bonus. The farm work will take place in Basalt, CO and design work in Carbondale, CO. A monthly/season calendar will be provided to allow for time off and/or a second job.
