A Meaningful Purpose, Inc. is a 501c3 non-profit organization founded in 2020 to address the needs of food insecurity, soil regeneration, and community inclusiveness in Atlantic County, NJ.  This mission is carried out at the historic Reed's Farm, continuing a legacy of local food production in the region.  The farm operates year-round utilizing organic and regenerative practices, hosts a sanctuary for farm animals, and provides educational and vocational programming to local schools and organizations with a focus on individuals with cognitive disabilities.  We aim to provide a community hub that inspires all who gather here to engage with nature and celebrate its healing capabilities.

 

Job description Job Summary:

The Fundraising Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting the fundraising efforts of A Meaningful Purpose at Reed’s Farm. This position is ideal for individuals passionate about making a difference and eager to contribute to the financial sustainability of a nonprofit with a $2 million budget.

Responsibilities:
  1. Assist in developing and implementing fundraising strategies to meet annual fundraising goals.
  2. Research potential donors, sponsors, and grant opportunities.
  3. Support the planning and execution of fundraising events and campaigns.
  4. Maintain donor databases and ensure accurate record-keeping.
  5. Assist in creating fundraising materials, including grant proposals, donor communications, and reports.
  6. Collaborate with the team to cultivate relationships with donors and sponsors.
  7. Provide administrative support for fundraising activities as needed.
Qualifications:
  1. Bachelor's degree in a related field (e.g., nonprofit management, communications, marketing).
  2. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  3. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  4. Strong administrative experience.
  5. A self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  6. Proficiency in donor management and experience with donor databases (i.e. iDonate).
  7. Passion for the mission of the nonprofit organization.
