Want to learn about cheese making from pasture to plate? Work with a prize winning herd of jersey and Holstein cows, learn about producing high quality milk and turning it into artisan cheese. Our projects include slivopasture, alley cropping, management intensive grazing, no dig vegetables, busy cheese operation that makes 7 types of raw milk cheeses and hosts visiting groups.
Compensation
this position is : hourly, $15-20/hr

Cedar Mountain Farm is located in Hartland Vermont. The small family farm is home to 60 registered jersey cows, 3 draft horses and 1 acre of no dig vegetables. Our farm produces milk, beef, vegetables and is home to the Hartland 4-H Cattle Club. Our products are for sale at the farm and local restaurants. Our farm provides year round vegetables, beef, raw milk, and cheese. We turn our jersey cow milk into award winning Cobb Hill Cheeses. We have an on farm artisan cheese plant and cave. Our extra milk goes into Cabot Cheese via Dairy Farmers of America.
