Company description The Admiral Pub is a quaint and casual restaurant operating on the west end of Tortola, in the British Virgin Islands. 
We are a restaurant and a marina with a small and enthusiastic team. The restaurant has a fun, lively and welcoming atmosphere, right on the waterfront, and currently specializes in quality pizzas.
With the popularity of our little spot, we are looking to expand and find a second Executive Chef to help curate a simple, fresh and seasonal lunch menu, bistro style, and oversee future lunch services, and/or also dinner services. This position has room for creativity, growth, and comes with the opportunity to enjoy the lifestyle of the islands and the tropical climate. Job description The Admiral Pub and Lighthouse Marina is looking for a dynamic, dedicated and enthusiastic chef who seeks creative freedom, and is capable of running a restaurant alongside ownership. Ideally the chef will enjoy working day times, making a small, rotating menu of soups, salads and sandwiches, inspired by the freshest ingredients.
Responsibilities can include:
  • Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of the kitchen.
  • Order  and manage products to ensure freshness and quality.
  • Maintain a clean, friendly and safe kitchen environment 
  • Communicate effectively with other management/team
  • Ability to work independently in the kitchen, if needed.
  • Lead another back-of-house team member during service, preparation, and execution
  • Contribute to menu development
  • Manage food costs and inventory, working to optimize resource utilization and minimize waste.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean, friendly and organized kitchen.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to source high-quality, fresh ingredients.
  • Ability to train, mentor, and evaluate another kitchen staff, providing guidance for skill development and performance improvement.
  • Collaborate with the other Executive Chef and other team members to contribute to the overall success and growth of the restaurant.
  • Maintain a fun, friendly atmosphere and enjoy working and cooking in the Caribbean!
