Job Type and Schedule:

Full time | Weekend | day shift Monday- Saturday 

 

Pay:

$16-$20

 

Job Summary

We are opening our very own seafood cafe!  We are seeking a creative and enthusiastic Lead Cook responsible for food preparation, line cooking, maintaining inventory of ready to go items, sanitation and cleanliness, as well as daily kitchen maintenance. The Lead Cook will maintain quality and assure the line runs smoothly, while working closely with our head chef. 

 

Duties/Skills needed:

  • Follow all recipes and maintain consistency
  • Maintain all equipment to appropriate cleanliness and excellent working condition
  • Monitor inventory and supplies as needed to be ordered
  • Work independently and efficiently to complete tasks in a timely manner
  • Organized 
  • Knife skills 
  • Work well under pressure in a fast paced environment
  • Assist in maintaining the operative conditions and the cleanliness of kitchen equipment 
  • Responsible for maintaining appropriate cleaning schedules for kitchen floors, walls, other equipment and food storage
  • Follow and maintain ServSafe cleanliness and sanitation practices
  • Check and maintain proper food handling and refrigeration temperature control points.
  • Assist and share in other responsibilities and duties as assigned by the Head Chef 
  • Complete inventory tracking sheets 
  • Eagerness to work with wild Alaskan fish and come up with seasonal menu items 
  • Available to work weekends 

 

Experience:

 Required 3-5 years of culinary experience
