Culinary Collective is an importer and distributor of specialty foods with an emphasis on supporting small producers and sourcing products that highlight the heritage and terroir of their provenance. We are seeking a Customer Service Specialist to work with us at our operations located in Mukilteo, Washington. This agile multitasker is involved in all aspects of customer sales support, including processing customer orders, supporting logistics, invoicing, and product sales support. The position requires strong computer skills, working in Microsoft Office, organization skills and a strong attention to detail.

 
Job description About the role

• Ensure that customer orders are processed accurately, delivered and invoiced in a timely and efficient manner.
• Provide support to the sales team through sample order processing, building, and shipping of trade show materials, and sending marketing materials to key buyers.
• Enable the listing of new products with distributors and customers.
• Support warehouse operations by fulfilling orders when required.
• Be the first point of contact for consumer or customer questions directing inquiries appropriately for resolution.
• Participate in projects and tasks related to the successful functioning and growth of Culinary Collective.


Responsibilities

• Process orders for assigned customers communicating any required transportation information and any product shortages.
• Provide accurate billing information for orders, communicating as appropriate for any late payments.
• Support the management of inventory through utilizing our ERP system (Dynamics 365- bcFoods) appropriately in the fulfillment of customer orders.
• Work within customer portals to support new item listing form requirements or other information needs.
• Ship sales samples and other materials as required to the sales team, retail buyers or trade shows.
• Assemble trade show assets and build pallets to support shipping to major shows.
• Fulfill customer orders as required from time to time within our on-site warehouse.
• Respond promptly to any questions or issues from existing or new customers or redirect as necessary.
• Submit, track, and respond to freight claims.

What we are looking for:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 2 years’ experience in a similar customer service role
• Passion for solving problems and customer issues.
• Natural attention to detail and ability to multi-task, prioritizing tasks as necessary.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pack and pick customer orders.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work independently, and a passion for working closely with a team
• A passion for food is an asset.

Preferred skills and qualifications
• Microsoft Dynamics ERP Experience
• Proficient in Excel

Benefits and Pay
• $24-$26/hr – 38 hr work week. (M-T 8-4pm, F 8-2pm)
• This role is in-office.
