Company description OWL Bakery is an artisan bakeshop located in Asheville, NC. We specialize in naturally leavened, high-hydration breads and European-style pastries and viennoisserie, with a deep commitment to seasonal and local products. We work with four local and regional millers, using organic ingredients, locally grown and milled grains, and heirloom varietals. We have two storefronts in residential areas of Asheville, and focus on the sustainability of our craft — for our team, the community, and the environment. Job description We're seeking a bread enthusiast to join our small team who has experience and interest in at least two of the following arenas:
  • doughs incorporating stone-milled, local flour
  • high hydration doughs
  • production bread baking

We have structured our production to be as sustainable as possible for our team members, with earliest shifts beginning at 5 AM. Full time is four 10-hour days, and once part of the team, individuals maintain a relatively stable schedule. Hourly rates begin at $20/hour, we offer earned PTO, and standardized wage increases based on time. 

We're looking for an individual who is ready to dive into a high volume bread production in a small space with a high standard of care and attention to detail.
