Our 80 seat restaurant on Main Street in Honesdale is a short drive from the Catskills and just 2 hours from NYC. Our fully open kitchen invites diners to get up close and personal and see the magic that happens preparing our food. Job description We are looking for a skilled Grill Cook to join our team in our restaurant with an open kitchen. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a fast-paced kitchen environment and should be able to perform various duties related to grilling, broiling, and sautéing. You will be required to follow recipes and cooking procedures to ensure that all dishes are prepared to the highest standards. You will also be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe kitchen environment and ensuring that all food items are stored properly.
Other responsibilities include:
- Preparing meats and vegetables for grilling
- Operating and maintaining the grill station
- Maintaining food quality standards
- Monitoring food temperatures and ensuring that they meet safety regulations
- Communicating with other kitchen staff to ensure that orders are completed in a timely manner
- Cleaning and maintaining the grill area and kitchen equipment
Requirements:
- Previous kitchen experience required (at least 2 years)
- Knowledge of grilling techniques and procedures
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Strong communication skills
- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
