Job Description The Calf & Kid is seeking one incredible individual for the position of lead cheesemonger/shop manager.

We are a small, high end retail cheese shop located in Melrose Market in Capitol Hill, Seattle.  Despite our tiny footprint, we are a high profile spot in a very unique market.  We specialize in the best cheeses from all over, with a focus on local, Pacific Northwest products.

The position available is full time, salary DOE with some paid vacation, to start immediately.  Ideal candidates will have cheese knowledge, retail experience, and have held a supervisor position.

You absolutely must be punctual, reliable, have a deep love for and knowledge of cheese, be comfortable on your feet for many hours at a time and lift 50 lbs comfortably. Excellent customer service skills are a necessity, as is the ability to multi-task and problem solve with the best of them. You will oversee several programs beyond the day to day, and be responsible for training and supervisiong staff.  Some weekend hours and neat, legible handwriting is also required.
