Company description Brookline Grown is a new local food store in Coolidge Corner, Brookline. We define local as narrowly as possible, with over half of what we sell coming from fewer than 7 miles away! We also operate our own hydroponic farm - Green Line Growers - right behind the store! We harvest fresh greens, herbs, and veggies daily. By growing hydroponically, we use 90% less water than commercial farms, and provide access to local produce year round. Between our farm and our store, we aim to reduce food miles and promote the local Boston food economy. A Brookline Grown job is flexible depending on your experience or interests, and might include hydroponic farming, leading farm tours, representing Green Line Growers in the store, educating customers on hydroponics, writing blog posts about local vendors, selling other local foods, and preparing foods to sell.

Experience or an educational background in agriculture, hydroponics, food justice, food service, or sustainability would be ideal. Sense of humor and positive attitude required. Knowledge of local Boston brands is a major plus too! 

We have both full-time and part-time positions available, with the preference that you have at least one weekend day open.
