The kitchen and dining hall at Kingswood are central to camp. Three times a day, we all gather to share family style meals. The dining hall is where we announce programming events for the day and hilarious "bits" take place. There is a lot of good natured fun at Kingswood. Job description
The Food Service Staff:
- Prepares meals under the direction of the Food Service Manager
- Participates in the set-up of the dining hall, kitchen or outside in preparation for the meals, actively working during the meal to ensure smooth service and adequate food is available and aids in cleaning the dining hall, kitchen and outside after meals.
- Physical demands of the job include agility, dexterity and long periods of walking, standing, bending, carrying or lifting supplies and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds
- Reads recipes and product directions, able to convert amounts of ingredients listed on recipes to produce the required number of portions, proper preparation and storage of food utilizing correct temperature requirements.
- Operates a variety of kitchen utensils and equipment to properly weigh, measure, mix, peel, grind, cut, stir, strain and season products for preparation, serving and storage
- Cleans and Sanitizes all workstation counters and equipment following all employer and regulatory agency rules and procedures
- Keeps records and communicates supplies and equipment needs to Food Service Manager
- Represent Kingswood Camp both professionally and ethically at all times
- To perform any other duties as requested by Food Service Manager and camp directors
Prior to camp:
Complete ServSafe online training for food handler (paid for by camp)

Dependent on experience

June 17 - August 12 (option to start June 11 if interested)
