Company description We are an intensive 1.5 acre vegetable farm in Southeastern MA. Our farm is located on a wind turbine site and most of the power used by the farm is sourced from them. We also have an aquaponics system used to grow microgreens. We are heavily geared towards finding a balance between sustainability, quality, and running a profitable business on a small amount of land. Job description Your job will be to run the farm in direct partnership with the farm manager. You will be taught how to do everything on the farm and expected to coordinate with him to complete all the necessary tasks for the week. Think preparing beds, planting, harvesting, cultivating, turning compost piles, collecting eggs, making restaurant deliveries, manning farmer's markets, and so on. We aim for a relaxed and friendly atmosphere, so a good sense of humor is also welcome.

Hours can be fairly intense- over 50 hours a week is pretty standard, and depending on the season may go as high as 70. We will expect you to work Saturdays and on rare occasions we may need you to work Sundays.

Housing is available to non-local applicants; we have campers with water and electricity hookups available. The farm is not in the middle of nowhere- we are located very near the Kingston T, so there is easy access to Boston, and malls and grocery stores are all within a 10 minute drive.

Applicants will need a valid driver's license and must be able to lift at least 40lbs regularly. Must be able to handle disagreements, whether practical, political or otherwise, in a mature manner and not let it impact a healthy work environment.
