Job description The ideal Chef de Cuisine Candidate will be humble, creative, extremely organized, a great leader / motivator and above all else, work with a sense of collaboration.  The CDC for this project will act as Kitchen Manager overseeing ordering, scheduling, maintenance, coordination of off site drop offs / events.

The CDC will foster Sideboard Small Batch Event's existing relationships with farmers, cheese makers, fish mongers, flower farmers, bakers, private chefs and clients - and ideally creating new ones.  This will be a highly visible and personality driven position with a combination of restaurant execution and guest facing experiences.

There are many moving parts to 41 Main Street - Breakfast + Lunch will be fast casual with a strong focus on picnic / beach food customized to order to go. Dinner service will look a lot like an enoteca format with lots of salty snacks you want to eat with your hands with your friends.  We will host supper clubs several days a week, ticketed, multi coursed menus with beverage pairings and have the ability to host guest chefs and winemaking friends in a communal setting for up to 24 people.  Champagne + Caviar will be a focal point of our offerings, both in house and delivery.  We will work closely with private chefs to provision on behalf of their clients as well as supporting the needs of boats, vacation rentals and private residences.  We will host all of our friends in food and have a lot of fun doing it. The position will be for 8 months to start with an opportunity to discuss partnership/profit sharing after the first successful season.  We will be open straight through December 31st and culminate our inaugural year with a New Years celebration.  The package for the CDC will also include a r&d research trip. Unfortunately we are not able to offer housing at this time but if something pops up we are willing to offer to the CDC as first right of refusal, we work closely with a real estate firm and would be happy to support the "Nantucket Shuffle" as best we can.
