We don't have a fancy group name and we really haven't figured out what it would be if we did; we're simply two restaurateurs with a twenty-two year old flagship restaurant, The Blue Room, a seven year old retail wine shop down the block, Central Bottle, and a four year old wine bar called Belly.

All three businesses are in Cambridge, all three deeply grounded in farm to table ideas with pleasure, sustainability, locality and organics on the top of our minds all the time. Everyone we work with in our spots we consider our extended family. We keep thoughtfulness, accountability, integrity and hustle as paramount ideas in every decision, interaction and relationship we form.  We ask that you do too.

The Blue Room is located in the heart of One Kendall Square. 

The Blue Room services a 90-seat dining room. Home to our six foot long, live-fire, wood-burning grill and open kitchen. The history of The Blue Room centers on that live fire and the Mediterranean influences that have come of cooking over wood and coals. Going hand in hand with the ideas of “from the hearth” The Blue Room has big ideas about farm to table. We like going back to the earth.

We highlight a commitment to non-traditional wine programs, a rather fanatical amari program and a heavy emphasis on hospitality. Each of these developments has made The Blue Room (and sibling wine bar, Belly) an incredibly enriching environment to work in culturally, educationally and financially.
