Job description Food Craft Institute (FCI) is seeking a Sponsorship Manager to join the Eat Real Festival team.

The Sponsorship Manager is responsible for sponsor support and outreach for the Eat Real Festival in Oakland, CA on September 22-24, 2017. Reporting to the Event Manager and Sponsorship Director, the selected individual will primarily be charged with delivering sponsorship fulfillment and customer service to all Eat Real Festival sponsors.

Position Responsibilities:
  • Work with Sponsorship Director to help implement a sponsorship strategy for 2017, identify local and national sponsorship opportunities, and build/maintain long-term ERF sponsorship relationships.
  • Develop specific sponsorship packages for key marketing and sponsorship decision makers; implement sponsor packages according to each organization’s needs, based on guidance and direction from Sponsorship Director.
  • Manage contract and invoice production, distribution, and fulfillment.
  • Provide billing schedule to Sponsorship Director for collections according to the established timeline.
  • Work with Sponsorship Director and management team to implement sponsor specific marketing for pre-events and on site at the Eat Real Festival.
  • Work with Event Manager to integrate ERF sponsors into Festival programming i.e. food demos, DIY sessions and craft collaborations.
  • Create Sponsor content for electronic channels including the Eat Real Festival Website, Flickr, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
  • Assist with marketing duties including updates to print advertisements, event signage and promotional needs.
  • Support ERF sponsors/partners through entire process leading up to and after the Eat Real Festival:
    • Work with Sponsorship Director and management team to place, manage and problem solve with sponsors on site.
    • Attend the Eat Real Festival as key sponsor/partner support, answering questions, helping with logistics, and making sure sponsors are satisfied.
    • Work with Sponsorship Director to send out sponsor follow-up after the Festival.
  • Delegate tasks to Event Interns as necessary.
  • Attend weekly Eat Real Festival team meetings.
  • Report to directly to Event Manager and Sponsorship Director.
Desired Skills and Experience:
  • Experience cultivating relationships with sponsors, donors, funders, investors, stake-holders, customers or similar audience.
  • Experience with events, festivals, conferences, and/or seminars.
  • Experience in marketing, advertising, fundraising, outreach, media, communications, public relations and/or development.
  • Strong drive and ambition.
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills.
  • Team player.
  • Idea generator, initiative-taker.
  • Strong interpersonal, listening and communication skills.
  • Good sense of humor, outgoing personality and positive manner.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
  • 5+ years of experience in the food and beverage and/or non-profit industries.
  • Background in recruitment of sponsorship sales and experience in building and managing sponsorship programs.
  • Experience with various software programs including Salesforce, Microsoft Office and Adobe products (Powerpoint, Excel, Word, InDesign, Photoshop).
  • Solid customer service and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and foster internal and external relationships.

TERMS: This is a "full-time" contract position which goes from June through the end of September. Compensation is commensurate with experience.
